1979 FC33 Side Bath Wanderlodge Moving up to a newer BMC coach. I’m hoping that the new Bird will be as good to me as this one has been in the 5-6 years I’ve had it. I believe that I’m the 3rd owner, as far as my Blue Box & records show. I would not hesitate to uncover the bus, hop in it tomorrow, and drive to Florida or Arizona w/o giving it a second thought. It appears that the bus spent most of it’s life in Georgia & Virginia, and has never been driven in the ice or snow. When you click on the following link, there's a detailed description (+'s & -'s), as well as 15 pictures. Most of the pictures show the Bird before the floor was done and the TV replaced, a couple show the bus afterward. Some of the items to be done are just things I never got to, or got used to. 1982 35' that runs on straight vegetable oil as a professionally installed second fuel system. In addition to the 280 gallon diesel tank, the veggie oil system holds another 150 gallons of burnable fuel. The fuel system includes an on-board filtering system, so you literally can pump from the waste veggie tank directly into the bus and then start driving on the veggie oil. A remanufactured CAT 3208-NA engine was installed 25,000 miles ago. We also paid for these recent fixes: brand new batteries, rebuilt alternator, rebuilt air compressor, rebuilt air dryer, new rear brake canisters, and much of the electrical system has been rewired. Bunk beds are included in the back (great for a family), fantastic great generator, WI-FI on the bus (while you drive), 1500W power inverter, Allison transmission. We’ve spent about $55K on bus improvements over the past two years (counting the SVO alternative fuel system) to get this beauty in road-ready shape. Reduced to $35,000. We’re willing to negotiate. 1966 31' Bluebird Waterlodge,Ford 371 Industrial Engine, Allison 6 speed automatic transmission, Onan Generator - needs work, 76,000 original miles. This is a great old bird that runs good and is in good condition. The motor is underpowered for this size bus and it is very slow up hills and I would not recommend it for a long or cross country trip. This is a great project for someone who is very handy and is interested in restoring this bird to it's former glory - mostly interior finish items - floor and trim, but some mechanical items as well. BLUEBIRD WANDERLODGE: 1973 FC 31'Powered by a 391A F Industrial Gas engine, and an ALLISON MT40 six speed transmission. The Coach is equipped with a ONAN Emerald 5.5kw generator (with few hours) which will run the TWO roof air conditioners, the Microwave and the electric Hot Water Heater. The radiator was recently replaced with a 6 tube unit. This is the Side Bath model, containing the toilet, sink and shower. The bedroom is in the rear, and has Twin beds, as well as storage, and a nightstand. Across from the kitchen, there is a Dinette, which makes into a bed. Up front in the living area is a couch, which also converts to a bed. The TV is here, and the passenger seat swivels around to be part of the living area. The TV/VCR works off cable in most campgrounds, but, with the conversion to Digital, I suspect the crank-up antenna no longer works. There are two recently replaced Suburban ropane heaters that keep the cold away. The Dometic Refidgerator also works off Propane, as well as 12V & 120V, and was also replaced. The tires and wheels were changed out about 3 years ago. The tires are TOYO 11X22.5 on Accuride aluminum wheels, like the 18 wheelers use. Brakes have just been redone, and all the steering tightened up. A "Steer Safe" is also installed. More storage is provided in the outside storage bays . Interior is OK, clean & free from rips, but is in the 70s colors.Although you will not get any speeding tickets, the coach cruises nicely at 60mph, (3000 rpm), towing our Jeep CJ. It averages 5 to 6 mpg, and we have taken it over Cajon Pass, The Grapevine, Soqualime in Washington & Raton in Colorado/N.Mexico. $14,500, or might trade for equil value in a late Jaguar XJ8, Harley, or similar... 1967 6V53 Detroit Diesel with an Allison Auto Trans I will say that it is in above average condition, only needing minor work to be real nice, it has new steer tires,(never been on the road yet), this was going to be my retirement home,but, injuries from a car accident make it too hard for me to finish it right, or too travel in the manner that I had planned. I am asking $7,500 for it, it could be driven anywhere right now. Brakes are great and all the lights seem to work, with the exception of some clearance lights, I think. Any assistance with selling this Wanderlodge for me would be greatly appreciated and I'm sure we could work out a consignment agreement. 1988 Wanderlodge PT40 Widebody Very good overall condition. The front/dash ac does not work. The coach is very clean inside. We had it re-carpeted at Coach-Works in Columbus Georgia per the Wanderlodge factory recommendations about 3 years ago. We purchased the same carpet from the same place that the factory uses. It has a separate stackable washer/dryer (not combination unit) in the closet area next to pantry. All curtains and upholstery were re-done just before we purchased it 3 years ago, so everything still looks very good. We installed a new water heater in October of 2007, new belts and filters in November. We installed new Dometic refrigerator when we purchased it and had stainless panels made for it and the ice maker as well. New Moen designer series faucet with soap dispenser and sprayer. The coach has 108202k miles on it, 982.74 engine hours and 1385.1 generator hours. We just returned from a 7000 mile trip in the bus and everything is working well. 1985 PT40 Wanderlodge 140,000 miles, all-original example that is in very nice shape and has been extremely well-kept. The carpets have been covered with factory carpet runners since new and the bathroom, bedroom and kitchen areas all look nearly unused, as does the refrigerator, freezer and dining area. It starts and runs as new. There are brand new batteries and the Diesel generator starts, runs and performs perfectly. The tires are in excelent condition. All of the controls seem to operate as they should, all of the gauges appear to be working correctly. It holds excellent air pressure at all times and is equipped with a full stereo system, CB radio,outside entertainment center. and dss satellite dish on roof. factory intercom system as well. This has been a one owner vehicle for the past ten years and was garage kept. It measures 40 feet in length, and is known as a "PT 40" which has the tag-axle in the rear and is a "Diesel Pusher" configuration. Here is a bit of information taken from Blue Bird specifications: "PT's are rear engine Blue Birds (longer than SP models), measuring 40' (hence the PT 40 model name) and have 8 tires. These coaches are powered by a 6V92 Detroit diesel engine and were built from 1982 to 1987." "The PT series are tough looking coaches with chrome bumpers and polished aluminum trim down the sides.
